[Scrum Screw-ups and Omissions for Podcast X]
Just wanted to highlight this quote again for the masses to enjoy: “You have such gall, such ego, Swatter… he might punch you in the mouth — and I won’t step in the way.”
Also, a few omissions to clean up…
Life Network runs Crash Test Mommy, not the “Slice” network.
Steve Kouleas is the host of “Hardcore Hockey Talk”. “Sportsnet guy” is actually Bob McCown, and he hosts “Prime Time Sports”. He’s never worn rags on the show that we can find…
Halo 3 is the game that’s played now, or Call of Duty 4 the kids have informed me…
May 2, 2007 (not mid April) — The Lakers/Suns game that was delayed by Rogers was game 5 of Round 1 when the Suns beat the lowly Lakers 119-110 (if you were curious, the Jays lost to Cleveland 6-5 in 11 innings on an RBI double by Travis Hafner, see what we would have missed!
[drum roll]
Blindside Winner: Jeremy Sawatzky.
First of all, even in the make believe world of Thescrumbrandon.com, either of your scoring any points in a CIS basketball game is an absolutely outrageous proposition… Although it’s not nearly as outrageous as Swatter thinking he’ll be a touring pro after 3 years of practicing golf… And Larkins curling? Well, he does look a bit like Randy Furby.
However, as David J. clearly pointed out, this is “a society” and in “a society” the verb “to Benoit” is only acceptable out of the lewd mouth of Jeff Ross (and assures Mr. Ross a one-way ticket to The Big Sauna I might add!).
Jeremy Kent takes the victory, leaving David Jefferson Larkins weeping like Kobe after tweaking his lil’ fingy-wingy…
2008 Blindside score: 4-3 David J.
That’s it, that’s all, you’ll know better for next time kids.
