Podcast IX: Kevin Hanson
An interview with UBC Thunderbirds head coach Kevin Hanson; a recap of the greatest Super Bowl ever; reaction to the Pau Gasol/Shaquille O’Neal trades; and an episode of Blindside featuring thoughts on the best/worst looking male athlete of all-time, the worst TV commercial of all-time, and the best sitcom theme song of all-time. Plus, Swatter and Larks campaign for delegates in a political battle for the ages.

Two guys who love sports, almost more than women...

reg: The Canadian Tire Guy: Indeed Swatter, he was always meddling in people’s business. He was way too caring for his own good. I remember that Macleans headline well.
reg: Urban Music Subway Commercials: Sorry Larkins, booking The Roots just wasn’t in the budget for Subway. Oh, and yes, Mclarkins’ name in Superbad was in fact, Fogel.
reg: Picking Who You Wouldn’t Want on the Steelers: Larkins, if you want a Super Bowl team, the Steel is gonna have to change. A lot. Belichick? Shockey? Beggers can’t be choosers buddy.

Clearly “Kelly” is an ignorant clod. Just my opinion.

Reali(ty) Check Time
[Scrum Screw-ups and Omissions for Podcast #9 aka IX]
Few corrections this week lads…
the Winnipeg/Calgary game was 98-62 (36 pt loss)…
The “A&W Guy” that everyone loves is actually Jack Robinson, he’s actually a priest (random) …
Jared Fogle was the fat Subway guy, Fogle/McLovin’ was the Superbad Supergeek (“it’s in!”)…
That annoying iMac weenie is named Justin Long. Before iMac, he was best known for his role as “Henry” in the Britney Spears biography “Crossroads”.
Blindside Winner: David J.
Although we can all respect someone who sells out for votes, the “rugged masculinity of Jose Theodore” indeed lost the prairie province vote for Swatter in this edition (although Vancouver is in strong support).
In breaking news, last week’s win by Tom Brady has been reversed (TWU style) and a victory for David J. has been retroactively added to the records!
I’m sure this will stir up quite the kerfluffle around the water troughs in Altona, but to quote Sly Stallone in Judge Dread, “I am the judge, jury and executioner” – can’t argue with Rocky, Swatter!
2008 Blindside score: 4-2 David J. Larkins
That’s it, that’s all, you’ll know better for next time kids.
