Podcast #2: Dave Crook
An informative/hilarious interview with Winnipeg Wesmen head coach Dave Crook; thoughts on the CIS volleyball landscape; a special edition of Blindside, featuring thoughts on Jamie Lynn Spears, the 12 days of Christmas, the worst play-by-play announcers of all-time, and the Chris Simon suspension; plus… is mommy really having an affair with Santa?

Wait a minute … I call you “David”.
Great podcast gentlemen. Didn’t hear all of it (please …) but it was a nice diversion.
I agree on the Bob Cole thing. Can he be any more a booster for the Leafs?
Blindside #1: Who are the loudest, most obnoxious, arrogant fans on the planet? My vote is Leafs fans followed very closely by Canadiens fans. They scream and yell for the simple sake of screaming and yelling. Never mind their teams stink and they’re getting beaten handily (well, the Habs don’t stink this year). And it’s not good screaming and yelling. It’s the “you suck” variety. What the …? Here’s how low Leafs’ fans are. At Senators games, just before the team takes to the ice, they have two kids from the local minor hockey system do a few laps with a couple of Senators flags then stand by the bench as the team comes out. Kinda cute and I’m sure a big thrill for the kids. Well, when I have been to see games against the Leafs games, those kids have been soundly booed! Not even Habs fans have sunk to that level (although there was a handful of jeers at a game back in November). No other teams’ fans - not the Bruins, Sabres, Rangers, have done this (I use these teams as examples because there are usually a good number of their fans at the venerable and storied Scotiabank Place (circa 2006) when they are in town). That’s just uncalled for. There is nothing better to leave the game after a Sens win and watching these people go home quiet with their collective tails between their legs. Not even Yankee fans are this obnoxious although I have a theory that says fans outside of their team’s city are more obnoxious than those who live in the city. Case in point are my Yankees. In Toronto, there was that arrogance but in New York last summer, I didn’t get that sense. Because they see them close to everyday and get flooded with an unforgiving media, they are more muted in their response to them. Those who don’t get to see them often have to rely on precedent and so you’ll always hear those outside NY bring up “26 World Series baby!”. Even I have trouble stomaching that.
Blindside #2: Which is the one true faith? Discuss.
Looking forward to more posts and podcasts.

Hey I actually enjoyed listening to this. Can’t wait for the interview with Barnaby haha!
My two cents: Jennifer Hedger is not that attractive.

Dasher Larkins is by far, one of the coolest names I have ever heard. And to be teased about the way you dress from Dave Crook is a bigger insult than I can comprehend.

Hi everyone, I’d like you to meet my buddy Julio Garasa and his penchant for keeping his thoughts short and to the point. (Side note: I almost had to quit my job to read that entire post.). …. Much love though for Julio who was a co-host with me back in St. Catharines.
Hillary, you’ve earned 1000 points with me for your Hedger comment. Thank you.
Dasher it is. I guess I was wrong.

I would take hedger out for a nice seafood dinner, then NEVER call her again. She even had the balls to call Jessica Simpson “TRASHY” ( I believe) on TV. Bob Cole is a “gots-to-go” let Jim Hughson do every game on CBC, he is way better.
